Lange’s most famous picture, this black and white photo captures a mother looking off into the distance as she holds a baby in her lap while her two kids bury their faces in her shoulders. Dorothea took this photo during her time with the Resettlement Administration (now known as the Farm Security Administration) and it launched her into stardom.
