Paco Park, Manila
Mariano Gomez, Jose Burgos, and Jacinto Zamora, three Roman Catholic priests killed by Spanish colonial authorities in 1872 for supposed insurrection, are buried at the park. Following his execution at Luneta earlier that year for allegedly masterminding the Philippine Revolution, Rizal was buried at Paco Park on December 30, 1896. To prevent his body from being used as a rallying point by Filipino rebels, he was buried in an unmarked grave.
