The Willamette Heritage Center connects generations by preserving and interpreting Mid-Willamette Valley history. The fourteen historic structures on site house permanent and changing exhibits, a research library and archive, a textile learning center, and rentable event spaces. Major permanent exhibits include houses from the 1840s that tell the story of Oregon's history before Statehood and the Thomas Kay Woolen Mill, a water-powered textile factory which operated from 1889-1964. The museum hosts changing exhibits looking at the rich history of the Mid-Willamette Valley.
