The City of Minneapolis is committed to healing and resilience grounded in the evidence of cultural
experience and practice. 4000 More Creative received funding through a grant from ReCAST Minneapolis
to create an authentic community engagement process, gather stories, create an archive of stories and
report on the themes of the gathered stories. These oral histories are to focus on systemic and structural
issues such as education, transportation, healthy foods, safe neighborhoods, access to care and housing
and the policies that drive them. The goal of this project is to understand the experiences of those living
along the Plymouth/Penn corridor using and intergenerational approach to the work and developing a
way to educate others on the impact of systemic oppression on this community.
