Innovation and Golden Age of Ukiyo-e
The exhibit covers the development of ukiyo-e during the time period from mid-18th to late 18th century. Specifically, two artists from the time period and their artworks will be analyzed for illustrating several points, which are the western influence on the perspective technique and the polychrome block coloring innovation in the mid-18th century, and subjects portrayed in the prints in the late 18th century.
