Intro: Pre-history and Emergence of Ukiyo-e
Dear audience, I'm the one of the four curators of our museum of Ukiyo-e. In this exhibit, you will learn about Ukiyo-e from its baby time. We will look at the name of Ukiyo-e, where is this name stemmed from. We will also pay attention to how it first became an idea in Edo Period Japan, and how did it develop with the help of a few founders/artists and paintings. This would be the first exhibit to take you into the world of Ukiyo-e.
