Overview of the Trojan War
The Trojan War; Bronze Aged conflict between the city of Troy and Greece. The war begun after the abduction of Queen Helen of Sparta. Helen's husband, Menelaus, convinced his brother, Agamemnon, to lead an expedition to retrieve Helen. Agamemnon was joined by Achilles and Odysseus. The war lasted around a decade, until the Greeks 'retreated from their camp grounds', leaving behind a wooden horse. The Trojans brought this horse into the city, where the Greeks climbed out and sacked Troy from within.
