Silk & Jade: Unlikely Companions
Silk and jade are natural opposites: hard vs. soft, tough vs. delicate, carved vs. weaved. Yet, despite their surface differences, influences from each craft show themselves in the other from carved jade silkworms to a possible connection between the mysterious bi-shape and a silk spinner's whorl, suggesting that their values are tied in ways beyond their surface elements.
