Alice Freeman Palmer Building
The Alice Freeman Palmer Building was the center of life at the Palmer Institute from its opening in 1922 until a fire destroyed the building in 1971. This exhibit explores the connection between Alice Freeman Palmer and Dr. Charlotte Hawkins Brown, and the importance of the building to life at the Palmer Institute. This exhibit was created by graduate student Liz Torres Melendez from the UNC Greensboro Museum Studies Program in Spring 2021.
