Historical Fiddler Statue on the Henderson County Courthouse Lawn
The sculpture "The Fiddler" was created by Albert Stewart, an artist from Dallas. Albert Stewart was commissioned to create "The Fiddler" to commemorate Henderson County's 150th anniversary in 1986. The sculpture represents the rich musical heritage of the area, particularly the fiddle music which is celebrated a the annual Athens Old Fiddlers Reunion & Contest.
